Dr. Nollner graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. Following her graduation, she performed a 14-month internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Hollywood Animal Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. After her internship, she practiced in Mississippi and central Texas before coming to Memphis in 1997. She joined Southern Crossing Animal Hospital in March 1999. After 20 years of practice at Southern Crossing, Dr. Nollner purchased the practice!
Dr. Nollner has been a diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, board certified in canine and feline clinical practice since 1995. The American Board of Veterinary Practitioners is a certifying board for private practitioners and residents who desire to become species specialist in clinical practice. Dr. Nollner is currently serving as the Continuing Education/Symposium Chair. Her special areas of interest are surgery, pain management, hospice care, ultrasound, and dentistry. She also earned her Fear Free Certification in 2017 which focuses on gentle handling techniques for all patients to reduce their fear, anxiety and stress during veterinary visits.
Dr. Nollner grew up in Moorhead, Mississippi. Her love for animals was God given, but her love for education came from the influence of her teacher parents. Her husband, Mike, is a family practice physician with Methodist Family Practice. They have 4 adult children and 5 grandchildren. Her 4 furry children include Roxanne the Beagle Mix and Layla the Terrier Mix rescued from Sunny Meadows Safe Haven for Animals, Naomi (Little Bit) the 3-legged kitty surrendered at Southern Crossing Animal Hospital and Prince the cat. In her free time, Dr. Nollner enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running/CrossFit and church ministry.
