In our continuing efforts to offer the highest quality veterinary medicine, we are pleased to provide a wide range of surgical services for our patients. From routine surgical procedures, such as spaying and neutering, to more complex surgeries, such as orthopedic repairs, we look forward to the opportunity to care for your pet’s surgical needs.

Before, during and after the surgical procedure, we perform the following:

  • Preanesthetic comprehensive physical exam
  • Preanesthetic blood test
  • Intravenous catheter for Intravenous medications and fluid support during anesthesia
  • Preanesthetic pain medication and anti-nausea medication
  • Anesthetic protocol tailored to your pet’s surgical condition
  • Anesthetic monitoring by a skilled veterinary assistant along with electronic monitoring of the heart rate, respiratory rate, pulse oximetry, end tidal CO2, blood pressure and body temperature
  • Post operative monitoring in our intensive care surgical recovery unit
  • Pain scoring of our patients while in recovery

When your pet is ready to go home, we will review your postoperative care and medication instructions. If any questions arise after your pet returns home or at any other time during the postoperative period, call us. We welcome your questions and will do all we can to help your pet recover fully.
